Well, seems like the rain is not going to stop now that it has started.

Not that we are complaining, it is wonderfull, and the dams are starting to fill up now.

Everything is lovely and green now and the dogs are enjoying racing over the grassy pastures as you can see.

We had a few friends over yesterday for a bit of a training day, despite the weather, and we

managed to get some training done between showers.

Jane Dorrel and her son Greg came up from Bremer Bay with their dogs.

Last year Jane went to the Eastern States and bought back two puppies from the Tully Williams/Campaspe lines. One of the pups, Molly was claimed by Jane’s other son Bradley and Jane kept Tayla. Tayla was a little slow starting, in fact Jane was on the verge of moving her on when she decided to pull her socks up and now looks quite impressive. Fairly strong eyed, but calm and steady on stock, and looks like being quite strong.

Greg Dorrel has a nice Koolie with some lovely footwork and beautiful square cover. He is just 6 months old and shaping into a good work dog for the future.  

Another young dog just starting out who looks impressive is Jean Hydleman’s Ivanhoe Susie. Although only a small dog, she makes up for that with her attitude. Nice cover, plenty of strength and fairly calm once we got her balancing up properly.

Her sire is Ivanhoe Spook and she is out of Ivanhoe Hannah.

Will be interesting to see how she developes as she is not quite six months yet.

Karen Buller bought along her new pup Smoko who is by Ken Athertons Ramulam Gus out of Ramulam Merle who is a Kiwi Knight bitch. Very cute and he and Pixel had a great time wrestling. He will be a big dog though, those joints are very solid indeed.
