Poor Balto has been getting a bit neglected lately, so I let him onto the verandah for a bit of ‘playtime’
Probably a mistake.
I went inside for half an hour or so and he had a playtime all right.
Oh well! At least he wasn't bored.

On the weekend we drove to Bunbury and went out in a friends boat and had a lovely encounter with the dolphins.
Amazing creatures, they came right up to the boat and followed us along for a while.
Very hard to photograph though, this is my daughters snap, she is a better photographer than me.
Tonka has found a new home and has fitted in well.
We will miss him but he is enjoying learning obedience training as well as agility and other fun things. He may even come back to catch up on his sheepdog training in the future.
So while looking for photos of him I came up with another Tonka.

My lovely gelding I had when I was about 19. What a wonderful horse he was, we did everything together.
Not the best quality, I think I scanned it from an old instant snap to preserve it.
And please don't email and complain, we did not wear helmets in those days.
And for something really different.

The rellies came over recently with their go-carts and we had a few races. Murray has made quite a good track on our salt flat. So the grown men became teenagers for a while. These things race at about 60km an hour. I tactfully declined the offer of having a go.

Not much happening on the farming front, except for feeding the sheep.
The rain continues to hold off, so we are praying now. Nothing like the first rain of the season, just a bit delayed this year.
Oh well, we continue to breathe in the dust. The weather has also been rather warm for this time of the year, too.
I managed to show the three youngest dogs some sheep, they have all gone a bit feral, except Zinc who is still not switched on properly. No hurry for him though, his dad was a slow starter.
When the weather cools I hope to get back into it.
